The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Korea’s Jeonbuk National University (JBNU), creating opportunities for academic exchange and collaborative research between the two institutions.

The agreement provides for the exchange of students, faculty, and staff, joint research and publications, participation in seminars and academic meetings, sharing of academic materials and short-term academic programmes.

The MoU was signed by S. Ponnusamy, Registrar, SRMIST, and Oh Byung-Taek, Dean, College of Environmental and Bioresource Sciences, JBNU. The partnership is expected to create avenues for students and faculty to engage with research environments in India and South Korea, with areas including life sciences, environmental research and advanced materials.
