A free mega medical camp was inaugurated in Visakhapatnam by S.M. Phanikumar, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Gajuwaka. Organised by M.V.R. Junior, Degree, and PG Colleges in collaboration with Care Hospital, Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital, and Agarwal Eye Hospital, the initiative aimed to expand healthcare access for underserved communities.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest stressed the importance of returning to traditional, nutritious diets and avoiding unhygienic fast food. Highlighting legal rights, he noted that the District Legal Services Committee offers free legal aid to ensure justice reaches every citizen.
Guest of honour Prof. G. Ajay Kumar urged residents to seek treatment exclusively from qualified specialists rather than quacks or medical shops.
Presiding over the event, V. Rama Rao, Secretary and Correspondent of M.V.R. Educational Institutions, oversaw comprehensive health screenings—including tests for BP, sugar, dental, and cancer—along with free medicine distribution, drawing large crowds from neighboring localities.
