Rain brings relief to farmers in Telangana’s Karimnagar

Rain brings relief to farmers in Telangana’s Karimnagar

Posted on September 14, 2026 By admin

Intermittent rain lashed several parts of the erstwhile combined Karimnagar district on Monday (September 14, 2026), bringing relief to farmers amid concerns over deficient rainfall affecting their standing crops.

Antargaon and Kamanpur mandals in Peddpalli district recorded heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours.

In Karimnagar district, overnight rain caused waterlogging in Kothagattu, Gollapalli and neighbouring villages in Shankarapatnam mandal.

A portion of the approach road across the Rallavagu at Quarry Road in Mancherial was partially damaged following heavy rain, disrupting vehicular movement to several villages in neighbouring Hajipur mandal, sources said.

Meanwhile, overburden removal and coal extraction at several opencast projects (OCPs) of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited in the coal belt remained affected by slushy conditions at the sites, sources added.
