Tamil Nadu government transfers 27 IAS officers in major bureaucratic reshuffle

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) transferred 27 IAS officers.

N. Muruganandham, Additional Chief Secretary / Commissioner of Revenue Administration and Disaster Management, was transferred and posted as Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation (TANSI).

He will be replaced by B. Chandramohan, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education. J. Innocent Divya, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Cooperative Society (Co-optex), has been posted as Secretary, School Education.

Dharmendra Pratap Yadav, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation (TANSI) is the new Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, replacing Prashant M. Wadnere.

R. Lilly, Commissioner, Stationery and Printing, is now Secretary, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Textiles and Khadi, replacing T.N. Venkatesh, posted as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (TUFIDCO).

Kavita Ramu, Managing Director, TUFIDCO, has been posted Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, replacing Simranjit Singh Kahlon. E. Saravana Velraj, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited, is transferred and posted as Commissioner, Stationery and Printing.

Ajay Yadav, Commissioner, Milk Production and Dairy Development, and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited, is transferred and posted as Commissioner, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, replacing S. Sivarasu, who is posted as Director, Milk Production and Dairy Development. Mr. Sivarasu will also function as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited.

S. Sivanandham, Additional Collector / Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Salem, is posted as Deputy Secretary, Finance. K.S. Kandasamy, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TAHDCO), is transferred and posted as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Minerals Limited. K. Senthilraj, Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare, is posted as Managing Director, TAHDCO.

D. Mohan, Managing Director, Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC), is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Home, Prohibition and Excise, replacing J. Anne Mary Swarna, who voluntarily retired from service.

Sherya P. Singh, Joint Commissioner (Health), Greater Chennai Corporation, is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, School Education. Raja Gopal Sunkara, Joint Secretary, Finance, is transferred and posted as Director, Tourism, replacing V.P. Jayaseelan, who is posted as Managing Director, Metropolitan Transport Corporation. Mr. Sunkara will also function as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.

Sharanya Ari, District Collector, Perambalur, is transferred and posted as District Collector, Virudhunagar, replacing N.O. Sukhaputra, who is posted as Executive Director, Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Board. F. Abdul Razick, Sub Collector, Ponneri, is transferred and posted as District Collector, Perambalur.

V. Nallasivan, Sub Collector, Chengalpattu, is transferred and posted as District Collector, Tirupattur, replacing G. Ravikumar, who is posted as Joint Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

K. Sangeetha, Project Director, Special Area Development Programme, Udhagamandalam, is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner (State Tax), Commercial Taxes, Coimbatore, replacing Thakare Shubham Dnyandeorao, who is posted as Joint Commissioner (Health), Greater Chennai Corporation.

Veer Pratap Singh, Commissioner, Tiruchi Corporation, is transferred and posted as Executive Director, SIPCOT, replacing A. Catherine Saranya, who is posted as Commissioner, Vellore Corporation. Mr. Singh will be replaced by N. Ponmani, Additional Commissioner, HR & CE, Tiruchi Region, as Commissioner, Tiruchi Corporation.
