Technology solutions provider for defence and communication sectors Avantel has secured a contract for ₹117.88 crore from DRDO’s Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL) for development, installation and commissioning of a Ground Segment Hub for voice and data communication using an Indian geostationary satellite.
The company said it remain focused on delivering indigenous communication solutions that support India’s strategic and defence requirements. The order reflects confidence in its technological and execution capabilities, Avantel said. The contract is to be executed by February 2029.
The company’s shares on Monday closed 2.17% higher at ₹160.15 apiece on the BSE.
