U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and U.S. Consul General Laura Williams convened top Indian industry leaders and Telangana Minister D. Sridhar Babu at the Taj Falaknuma Palace to accelerate bilateral trade, secure high-tech supply chains and expand U.S.-India commercial ties.
The dinner, commemorating the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, brought together C-suite executives across defense manufacturing, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and technology to convert strategic bilateral policy into real-world business investments across South India.

Highlighting the unprecedented momentum in the bilateral economic relationship, the U.S. Ambassador said the U.S.-India partnership has moved beyond mere strategic alignment. “Today, it is a concrete architecture of cooperation spanning defense, technology, life sciences, and space.”
“That architecture is built on the foundation of longstanding business-to-business partnerships between our two countries — partnerships that many of you in this room have helped build, deal by deal. Each deal contributes to what we call Mission 500, our shared goal of reaching $500 billion in bilateral trade by 2030,” a statement said quoting Mr. Sergio.
U.S. Consul General Laura Williams emphasised south India’s pivotal role in the bilateral relationship, pointing to transformative technology, data and critical mineral partnerships taking root across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha.
Mr. Gor encouraged business leaders across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to take advantage of policy frameworks like the TRUST Initiative, Pax Silica, the U.S.-India COMPACT, and the U.S.-India Strategic Mineral Recovery Initiative as direct vehicles for investment, supply-chain partnership and market access.
