Qualifier Vallab Kumar of USA defeated India’s Ayan Shetty 6-3, 6-2 in a boys’ first round match of the UNIFI-International Tennis Federation-junior Tennis Cup 2026 at the SDAT Tennis Stadium Nungambakkam here on Monday. 

The results (first round): Boys: Vallab Kumar (USA) bt Ayan Shetty 6-3, 6-2; Lakshy Madankumar (Aus) bt Malay Keyurbhai Minjrola 6-4, 6-1; Neel Kelkar bt Hemdev Mahesh 6-1, 1-6, 7-5; Karan Thapa (Nep) bt Lakshya Vardhan Chukka 6-3, 6-2; Manan Rai bt Ashwin Kabilan (USA) 6-3, 6-4;  Saksham Bhansali bt Harsh Malik 6-0, 7-6(5); Yash Kumar bt Can Lawani (Chn) 6-4, 7-5.
