Golf | Solid field for PGTI Coal India Open

Top golfers, including Order of Merit (OoM) leader Saptak Talwar, Veer Ahlawat, Om Prakash Chouhan, Khalin Joshi and defending champion Angad Cheema, will be seen in action in the Coal India Open starting at the par-70 Tollygunge Club course here on Tuesday.

The DP World Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) tournament, offering a total prize purse of ₹1 crore, will have a field of 132 players including one amateur and several foreign professionals.

Local golfers, such as former OoM champion Shankar Das, Rahil Gangjee, Viraj Madappa, Mohammad Sanju, Divyanshu Bajaj, Sunit Chowrasia, Feroz Ali Mollah, Indrajit Bhalotia and Karan Verma, will enjoy their outing in familiar conditions.

The winner will take home ₹15 lakh, while the runner-up will receive ₹10 lakh.
