Govt. reconstitutes Cusat Syndicate – The Hindu

The United Democratic Front government has nominated Mohammed Shiyas and Najeeb Kanthapuram to the Syndicate of Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) under the MLA category.

Mr. Shiyas is the MLA representing Kochi, while Mr. Kanthapuram represents Perinthalmanna. They were nominated as part of the reconstitution of the Syndicate.

The nominees in the category of experts in higher education are Anson P. Antony, section officer (higher grade), Legal Affairs Division, Cusat; Kabeer K.K., lawyer; Abdulla P., Professor and Principal, School of Engineering, Cusat; Sindhu K., Professor of Economics and Principal-in-Charge, Cochin College (woman representative); and Arun S.P. (SC/ST reprsentative).

Praveen C.S., Assistant Professor, International School of Photonics, Cusat, was nominated to the Syndicate under the category of expert in Information Technology, while Kurien Biju, research scholar, Inter University Centre for IPR Studies, Cusat, was nominated as the student representative from the Senate.
