Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari has condemned the brutal act of two youths, who allegedly rammed their car into a two-wheeler and grievously injured a PG medical student, Priyanka, who was pillion-riding, on August 3.

According to the police, the accused, N. Daswanth and Andrew Joseph, rammed their car into the two-wheeler, while its rider and Dr. Priyanka were returning from a cinema hall, on A.V. Appa Rao Road under Prakash Nagar police station limits.

Dr. Priyanka suffered critical head injury, and was rushed to a private hospital, where her condition was stated to be critical. A native of Hyderabad, the victim was studying in a medical college in Rajamahendravaram.

In a release on Thursday, Ms. Purandeswari expressed concern over the attack, and assured to take stern action against the accused.
