Emirates SkyCargo has launched a dedicated Boeing 777 freighter service on the Taipei-Hyderabad-Dubai route, expanding Hyderabad’s air cargo connectivity with East Asia and the Middle East.
The service, which has a payload capacity of more than 100 tonnes, is expected to facilitate the movement of high-value and time-sensitive cargo, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences products, electronics, semiconductors, servers, perishables and express shipments.
The new corridor directly connects Taipei, a major electronics and semiconductor manufacturing hub, with Hyderabad, which has a significant pharmaceutical, life sciences and technology industry. Dubai will serve as an onward hub, providing connections to more than 145 destinations worldwide, according to GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL).
The Taipei-Hyderabad-Dubai service adds to Hyderabad airport’s existing international freighter network. Dedicated long-haul cargo services are currently operated by Lufthansa Cargo, Turkish Cargo, Qatar Airways Cargo and Ethiopian Cargo, connecting Hyderabad with logistics hubs such as Frankfurt, Istanbul, Doha and Addis Ababa.
