Robbers decamp with ATM in Andhra’s Madanapalle

Posted on July 25, 2026 By admin

An armed gang stole an SBI ATM machine containing ₹13.5 lakh in cash from Madanapalle in Annamayya district in the early hours of Saturday (July 25, 2026), leading to an intensive police search operation.

A four-member gang targeted the ATM located at the Industrial Estate on CTM Road and loaded the machine into a truck before fleeing. According to the police, residents attempted to stop the robbers, who allegedly brandished firearms and threatened them before escaping with the ATM.

Bank’s local Administrative Officer Murali Krishna officially confirmed that the machine contained ₹13.5 lakh at the time of the theft.

Superintendent of Police Dheeraj Kunubilli and Additional SP Venkatadri deployed special police teams. Drone-assisted searches are underway at Reddivaripalle and Agraharam villages as police intensify efforts to trace the accused and recover the stolen ATM.
