A 28-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife, their two young children, and three members of another family — a minor girl, her mother and grandmother — in Daivalaguda village in Shabad during the early hours of Saturday (July 11, 2026).

The accused, identified as Rajkumar, was arrested by the police after he allegedly confessed to the killings to his parents, who then alerted the police.

According to the police, Rajkumar had been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (PoCSO) Act following a complaint lodged by the minor girl and her mother on May 16, accusing him of molestation. He was later released on bail.

Police suspect the murders were carried out in retaliation for the case.

The victims were the accused’s wife, Sarita, their three-year-old daughter and two-year-old son, along with a minor girl, the girl’s mother, and her grandmother.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
