Two young men were arrested for riding a motorcycle in a rash and dangerous manner in the Mylapore area, endangering the public.

A few days ago, a video circulated on social media showed a group of youngsters dangerously riding motorcycles on the Music Academy flyover on Cathedral Road in Royapettah. The video also showed a rider dragging an iron barricade placed near the flyover while riding the motorcycle.

Based on a complaint lodged by Ahmed Ali Imran on June 30, 2026, the Mylapore Traffic Investigation Wing registered a case and launched an investigation at the scene. The police identified the suspects as Suresh (21), a resident of Nesapakkam, and Deepak Kumar (20), a resident of Choolaipallam, West Jafferkhanpet. Both were arrested on Wednesday (July 1, 2026). The police seized the motorcycle used for the stunt.
