Rivaan Dev Preetham (MSPORT) reigned supreme in the Junior Max category in the opening round of the Meco FMSCI Indian National karting championship at the CoASTT track here on Sunday.
The 13-year-old was on pace right from the start of the weekend, finishing on top in qualifying, both heats, the pre-final and the final.
Rivaan has won the National karting title in each of the last three seasons — Micro Max in 2023 and 2024, and Mini Max in 2025 — and has now laid down the marker early in the year in the junior class.
In the Micro Max category, Rudrapratap Singh Shekhawat (Leap Frog Racing) claimed top honours, winning the pre-finals and final races. Rudrapratap also won the pre-final in the Mini Max category and finished third in the finals.
