Erling Haaland’s first-half brace in his World Cup debut helped Norway to a 4-1 victory against Iraq in the Group I opener for both teams on June 16, 2026 in Foxborough, Mass. Haaland’s goals in the 29th and 43rd minutes sandwiched a score by Aymen Hussein in the 39th. Substitute Leo Ostigard made it 3-1 in the 76th, and an own goal by Hussein in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage was created by a Haaland header on target.
Senegal lost their opening match against France and will be looking to rise their game against Norway and keeps its hopes alive in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
