Private school teacher in Coimbatore held for sending explicit contents to students

Private school teacher in Coimbatore held for sending explicit contents to students

Posted on June 12, 2026 By admin

The police on Friday arrested a teacher attached to a private school in Coimbatore for allegedly sending explicit videos to students.

The arrested has been identified as V. Babu (34) of Dindigul. The police said that he was employed in a school at Kalapatti.

The parents of a student approached the All Women Police Station, Coimbatore East, with a complaint, accusing Babu of having shared explicit contents through a messaging platform.

The police registered a case against Babu under different Sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and arrested him on Friday. Investigators found that he had sent similar contents to a few other students as well.

He was produced before a court and sent to judicial remand.
