Jagadeesan moves from Vijay CC to Sea Hawks ahead of new season

Jagadeesan moves from Vijay CC to Sea Hawks ahead of new season

Posted on June 9, 2026 By admin

N. Jagadeesan has switched allegiance from Vijay CC to Sea Hawks in one of the biggest moves ahead of the TNCA first division league 2026-27 season, which begins on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, reigning champion MRC ‘A’ has been busy in the transfer market, bolstering its squad by recruiting S. Mohamed Ali, P. Vignesh (both from Vijay CC), R.K. Jayant and C.V. Achyuth (both from Grand Slam CC).

Apart from Jagadeesan, Sea Hawks has secured the services of B. Sachin, S. Lokeshwar and P. Saravanan from Jolly Rovers. M. Siddharth and R. Sonu Yadav, who have also departed Rovers, will turn out for Singam Puli and Nelson SC respectively.

Rovers, the most successful side in the top-flight, has roped in M. Shahrukh Khan, P. Vidyuth and Prem Kumar from Alwarpet CC, which was relegated to the second division. Vijay CC, another heavyweight, has signed Tushar Raheja and Manav Parakh from Alwarpet.

Last season’s runner-up Globe Trotters has recruited M. Mohammed from SKM CC and promising youngster K.V. Raghav, while S. Radhakrishnan and V.P. Amith Sathvik have moved from the MRF-backed team to Nelson SC and Pristine CC respectively.

Swaraj CC and Pristine are the two promoted teams.

In the previous season, R. Vimal Khumar (Rovers) topped the batting chart with 1,220 runs while left-arm spinner D.T. Chandrasekar (Sea Hawks) was the best bowler with 69 scalps, including a perfect-10 in an innings. Chandrasekar will don the Rovers jersey this time.
