Owing to the construction of the new flyover by the Greater Chennai Corporation across the R.K.Nagar Railway LC No. 2A in New Washermenpet, from Vaidyanathan Bridge to R.K. Nagar Junction, traffic diversions will be implemented from Saturday. To facilitate these works, the existing routes for buses and heavy vehicles have been changed as follows:
All vehicles heading towards Korukkupet from IOCL must turn left at Vaidyanathan Flyover and travel via T.H. Road to reach Korukkupet Junction.
All light motor vehicles heading to IOCL from R.K. Nagar New Flyover should turn right at R.K. Nagar Junction, proceed via Korukkupet Railway Gate, continue onto T.H. Road, and then turn right at Vaidyanathan Flyover to reach IOCL Junction.
All light motor vehicles traveling towards IOCL via Meenambal Flyover must turn right at KNS Depot or turn left at R.K. Nagar Junction, proceed via Chunnambu Kalvai Road, and then turn right to reach IOCL Junction.
All buses and heavy vehicles heading to IOCL via Moolakothalam must proceed straight to Mint Junction, turn left, and travel via Kannan Roundabout, T.H. Road, and Vaidyanathan Flyover to reach IOCL.
All light motor vehicles heading to IOCL via Moolakothalam must turn left at R.K. Nagar Junction, travel via Chunnambu Kalvai Road and Annai Sathya Nagar, and then turn right to reach IOCL Junction.
