Sankar Foundation celebrates its 29th ‘Formation Day’

Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital celebrated its Formation Day on a grand note on June 2 here in the city. The occasion began with the garlanding of the statue of its visionary Founder, Late Atmakuri Sankar Rao, followed by heartfelt floral tributes from doctors and employees.

Addressing the gathering, Atmakuri Krishna Kumar, elder son of the Founder, emphasised the importance of strengthening systems and working with dedication to scale new heights. He acknowledged the support of major corporates in enhancing medical infrastructure and advancing the mission to eliminate avoidable blindness in the region. In his address, he also noted that Sankar Foundation has performed over 5,16,000 eye surgeries, screened nearly 30 lakh outpatients, transformed countless lives through accessible, quality eye care.
