The Prohibition Enforcement Wing, Ambattur, has arrested three persons for smuggling ganja from Andhra Pradesh.
The police identified the arrested as Gokul, 25, and Muthukumaran, 22, both natives of Thanjavur, and Mustafa, 26, of Vellore. They were intercepted near the Korattur railway station during regular surveillance.
A search led to the seizure of 21 kg of ganja. An inquiry revealed that they had allegedly procured the contraband from the neighbouring State to sell in the city.
