The national capital continued to sizzle on Wednesday (May 27, 2026) with a maximum temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, ‘very light’ to ‘light’ rains are likely in parts of the city on Thursday (May, 2026), but the maximum temperature is still expected to remain at 42-44 degrees Celsius, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Delhiites are expected to get some respite from the heat with more rains expected over Friday, (May 29, 2026), Saturday (May 30, 2026), and Sunday (May 31, 2026), bringing down the maximum temperature to 35-37 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday (May 27, 2026) , the Safdarjung weather station, considered the city’s representative observatory, recorded a maximum temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius, 3.9 degrees above normal, and a minimum of 26.2 degrees Celsius, 0.4 degrees below normal, as per the IMD.
