Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday (May 20, 2026) launched the ‘Talent Hunt Scheme – Hauslon Ki Udaan 2026-27’ to identify and nurture young talent in the city.
The competition will feature seven major categories. Winners will receive cash prizes of ₹2.5 lakh for first place, ₹2 lakh for second, ₹1.5 lakh for third, and ₹1 lakh for fourth, with a total outlay of ₹10 crore for the scheme, according to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Participants can compete in classical, folk, and non-classical singing, as well as classical, folk, and contemporary dance forms. Other categories include fine and digital arts, sculpture and pottery, music composition, instrumental music, and acting and theatre.
Ms. Gupta said the programme aims to provide a platform for youth to showcase their talent nationally and globally. She added that selected participants may be associated with social campaigns as brand ambassadors to promote positive change.
Youth aged between 16 and 35 can register free of cost on the dedicated portal www.delhitalenthunt.com from Wednesday (May 20, 2026). The website will provide registration details, programme information, and updates.
Evaluation will be based on 25% public voting and 75% assessment by an expert jury comprising professionals from relevant fields. The grand finale will be organised on a large scale, with noted film personalities expected to attend.
