Boy killed, another injured as tractor falls into well

Rakesh, a six-year-old boy was killed and another child was injured when a tractor they were playing in rolled backward and fell into a well near Kanagammachatram in Tiruvallur district on Sunday.

The injured boy, Yashvin, 5, underwent treatment at the Government Medical College Hospital in Tiruvallur. Police said Rakesh inserted a motorcycle key into the tractor’s ignition, causing the vehicle to suddenly move backward. The tractor then fell into a nearby well that had no protective wall.

Rakesh was trapped under the vehicle and died on the spot. The injured Yashvin was rescued by local residents and rushed to the hospital.
