One killed, another injured in a road accident in Mayur Vihar

Posted on May 18, 2026 By admin

A passenger travelling in an auto was killed while a biker was critically injured following a collision in east-Delhi’s Mayur Vihar, the police said on Monday.

The police received a PCR call at 2.00 a.m. on Sunday about an accident near 31 Block, Nala Road, at Mayur Vihar police station. On reaching the spot, they found that a collision had occurred between a motorcycle and an auto. Kapil, 40, was travelling in the auto while Satyam, 25, was riding the motorcycle. Both were residents of Trilokpuri.

“Both injured persons were shifted to LBS Hospital by passersby. During medical examination, Kapil was declared dead on arrival by the doctors while Satyam, who sustained critical injuries, was referred to GTB Hospital for further treatment,” the police said.

“As Satyam was declared unfit for a statement, further legal action was initiated based on available evidence and medical information,” a senior police official said. A case under Sections 281(rash or negligent driving), 125A (rash or negligent driving causing hurt) and 106 (death by negligence) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered, and further investigation is in progress.
