Vijay’s party breaks AIADMK’s hold over western T.N.

The poll results in Western Tamil Nadu indicate a shift in the regional political landscape, with the newly formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) securing victories in areas previously considered strongholds of the AIADMK.

The TVK’s performance in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem districts, especially in the cities, has challenged the reputation of western Tamil Nadu as an AIADMK fortress.
