HYDERABAD

The Telangana Civil Supplies Department has procured 12.38 lakh tonnes of paddy produced in the Rabi season so far against the plans to purchase about 90 lakh tonnes. The farmers are paid ₹1,129.43 crore in Minimum Support Price (MSP) payments directly into the bank accounts of over 1.54 lakh farmers.

According to Commissioner of Civil Supplies M. Stephen Ravindra, the department is operating at full capacity across the State to handle the inflow of paddy. Currently, a network of 8,575 Paddy Purchase Centers (PPCs) is actively buying paddy from cultivators.
