TNCA invites applications for head coach, to continue with split coaching set-up

TNCA invites applications for head coach, to continue with split coaching set-up

Posted on April 30, 2026 By admin

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has called for applications to fill the role of the senior men’s team head coach. As it did last season, the TNCA has decided to adopt a split coaching set-up for the Ranji Trophy and white-ball tournaments.

In 2025-26, M. Senthilnathan was initially appointed as the head coach for the whole year, but the apex body changed course ahead of the white-ball leg. It drafted in former India spinner M. Venkataramana for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) T20 and Vijay Hazare Trophy (one-dayers).

The move, however, did not pay dividends as TN had a miserable domestic campaign, failing to progress to the knockouts in all three competitions.
