At least 10 people were shot dead on Sunday (April 19, 2026), including eight children, the Shreveport Police Chief said. Police said that the suspect was shot dead.

“A total of 10 people were shot in the ‘domestic disturbance’,” Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith said.
