Praful and Sakib’s heroics a rewarding moment for MRF Pace Foundation

Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain became overnight sensations as they scalped four wickets each on debut to script a 57-run win for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad on Monday.

Incidentally, both pacers owe a lot to their stints at the MRF Pace Foundation here under Australia legend Glenn McGrath, which Praful acknowledged after receiving the Player-of-the-Match award.

“When he first came in 2023, he had some technical flaws because of which he had a back injury. We focused on correcting that and sent him back to Vidarbha fully fit. The following year, we refined his skills, including adapting to different formats… he had a strong season in under-23 cricket and even made his senior debut that year,” said M. Senthilnathan, head coach at the MRF Pace Foundation.
