At least eight people killed after missile strike on Israeli town of Beit Shemesh

A barrage of missiles launched from Iran killed at least eight people in the central Israel city of Bet Shemesh on Sunday (March 1, 2026), Israeli first responders said, updating an earlier toll.

Iran-Israel conflict updates on March 1, 2026

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service said: “In the Beit Shemesh area, MDA EMTs and paramedics have pronounced the deaths of six casualties”, as well as 23 injuries, with police saying it was a direct hit on a building.

These fatalities bring the total death toll in Israel from the latest confrontation with arch foe Iran to seven.
