New Zealand openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen set the MA Chidambaram Stadium alight with their attacking display, which sent the UAE players on a leather hunt. The duo’s fearless show meant the Kiwis romped home with ease.

Seifert reflected on the team’s positive start to the tournament and the aggressive approach adopted by the pair. “It’s a nice way to start. The main thing is that we’ve won two games,” Seifert said. “Finn and I are going to continue playing the same way. Some days it will come off, and some days it won’t. For us, it’s about enjoying our cricket, putting pressure on the bowlers, and having fun.”

Allen highlighted the importance of game awareness during chases. “We try to get ourselves into good positions. We spoke about picking our moments. The surface was getting better as the game progressed, and we focused on rotating the strike as well, which we did quite well.”
