Posted on August 17, 2025 By admin

At least eight people have died in a flash flood in northern China, state news agency Xinhua reported on Sunday (August 17, 2025), while rescuers continue searching for four others who are missing.

The flood happened around 10 p.m. (1400 GMT) on Saturday (August 16, 2025) in the northern region of Inner Mongolia, the report said, washing away 13 people on a camping trip. One person has been rescued.

“Search and rescue operations for the missing are still ongoing,” Xinhua said.
