Jana Sena Party Chief K. Pawan Kalyan has stated that the alliance, forged between TDP and Jana Sena parties in Rajamahendravaram on October 23, is a vaccine to eliminate the pest called YSR Congress party in the next assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP and JSP leaders led by Mr. Pawan Kalyan and TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh officially formed the alliance to contest together in the 2024 assembly elections during the first meeting of the Joint Action Committee, comprising the leaders from both the parties, held in Rajamahendravaram.

In September, the two parties announced their alliance after former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in AP Skill Development scam scandal.

In a joint press conference after the JAC meeting, Mr. Pawan Kalyan has said: “Our alliance is aimed at registering the victory in 2024, guarantee welfare, development and security of the people from the draconian rule”.

“Andhra Pradesh needs an experience leader for the development. We are not against YSRCP or Chief Minister Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy. We are against atrocities, false cases, terrorising common people and roberry of the resources and liquor policies of the YSRCP”, Mr. Pawan Kalyan.

“The YSRCP has attacked on every party cadre. It did not spare any party including BJP and left parties. There is no need to fight against it if it changes the policies”, added Mr. Pawan Kalyan.

Joint manifesto

“In November, the Jana Sena will add its promises to the TDP manifesto in November. The assembly elections are expected within 120 days”, said Mr. Pawan Kalyan.

On the key issues discussed at the JAC meeting, Mr. Pawan Kalyan has clarified that the maiden meet targetted at how the cadre of both the parties should work together. It did not focus on the powershare and leadership.

BJP on alliance

On response from BJP on the TDP-JSP alliance, Mr. Pawan Kalyan has clarified: “BJP cadre including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah are positive and my priority is ‘people of Andhra Pradesh’.

Mr. Pawan Kalyan has added that his Varahi yatra and Yuvagalam-padayatra by Mr. Lokesh would continue separately. “In the second round talks of the JAC, an action plan would be unveiled on the campaign strategy for the next elections”, added Mr. Pawan Kalyan who added that the alliance forged is Rajamahendravaram is historic.
