A heartwarming video of Virat Kohli meeting the families of Harpreet Brar and Arshdeep Singh is going viral on social media. The meeting took place after Punjab Kings’ IPL 2024 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamsala on May 9. It was a do-or-die game for both sides with PBKS ending on the losing side. The result did not go in favour of the Punjab Kings and they were thus knocked out of the playoff race. However, off the field, Kohli made the day for PBKS stars Arshdeep and Harpreet by taking his time out to meet their families.

Punjab Kings shared the video on social media on Friday with fans reacting to the sweet video in huge numbers.

Watch it here:

The loss to RCB eliminated PBKS and saw the side scripting an unwanted record in IPL history. PBKS became the first-ever team in the tournament to fail to qualify for IPL playoffs in 10 consecutive editions. The side last entered the playoff in 2014 edition where they finished as runners-up after losing to Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.

“A lot of positive signs throughout the season, but not enough to get over the line, unfortunately. We knew that we had the best side for the rest of the tournament and feel gutted for the team. Got to keep our heads up, keep learning and keep becoming better,” said PBKS stand-in skipper Sam Curran after the defeat to RCB.

“Really enjoyed leading a great bunch of guys, would have loved a few more wins. We had some highs, and some record run-chases as well. Lots of disappointment and apologize to the fans, we will keep fighting. The ups and downs have been quite tough, but you gotta keep learning and keep working hard,” he added.
