Traffic restrictions and diversions have been announced around Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Stadium for Friday (October 30, 2026), in view of Diljit Dosanjh’s live music concert.

According to an advisory issued by the Delhi Traffic Police, restrictions may be in place from 1 p.m. to midnight, affecting 11 roads around the stadium. These include Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between the Defence Colony flyover and Lodhi Colony flyover, Arch Bishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road, Fifth Avenue Road, internal roads of the CGO Complex and around JLN Stadium, Barapullah Flyover between INA and Jangpura Metro stations, Gate No. 2, Dayal Singh College Road, and the internal roads of Lodhi Colony.

Diversions will be implemented at eight points, including the Lodhi Road–Dayal Singh College Road T-junction, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg near JLN Stadium, the slip road on Lala Lajpat Rai Marg towards Soochna Bhawan, Bhishm Pitamah Marg near the stadium’s red light, and the Kushak Nallah bus depot red light.

Depending on traffic conditions, vehicles may be diverted toward Lodhi Flyover, Arch Bishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road, and Aurobindo Marg. Additional diversion points may be activated at the Kotla Mubarakpur red light on Bhishm Pitamah Marg and at the Bhishm Pitamah Marg–Lodhi Road T-junction.

The traffic police have recommended the Delhi Metro, which will remain fully operational. Concertgoers travelling on the Violet Line can alight at JLN Stadium or Jangpura Metro stations and use Gates 13, 14, and 17. Those using the Yellow Line can alight at INA or Jor Bagh stations and proceed to the Kushak Nallah bus depot red light to access Gates 3, 6, and 8.

Parking will not be available to the general public at or near the venue. Limited parking will be provided for special invitees at the Sunheri Nala bus depot and Dayal Singh College parking areas. Taxis, three-wheelers, and scooters will not be permitted to park or halt along the roads, with pick-up and drop-off permitted only at designated points.

Three designated pick-up and drop-off points have been identified: Arch Bishop Marg, Lal Masjid in Pragati Vihar and the Kushak Nallah bus depot red light.

For travellers coming from the north-west, west, south-west, and south Delhi, the advisory recommends taking Aurobindo Marg and Lodhi Road to the Archbishop Marg drop-off point or Aurobindo Marg and Lodhi Road to the Fourth Avenue Road drop-off point near the Kushak Nallah bus depot. Those coming from the south, east, and southeast of Delhi can use Lala Lajpat Rai Marg to reach the Lal Masjid drop-off point. Commuters from New Delhi, central Delhi, north-west Delhi, and north-east Delhi have been advised to use Arch Bishop Marg and drop off before Lodhi Road.

Emergency and medical vehicles will be given priority passage. Motorists have been asked to follow instructions from traffic personnel, obey diversion signs and avoid parking on roads. They have also been advised to report unattended objects or suspicious activity to the nearest police personnel.
