Mediation awareness programme held – The Hindu

Madras High Court Judge Justice B. Pugalendhi on Friday inaugurated mediation awareness and distribution of pamphlets programme on the Madurai District Court campus.

The programme was held in connection with ‘Mediation for the Nation 3.0’. The programme was inaugurated in the presence of Principal District Judge M. Saisaravanan, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Madurai, S. Prasad, and others.

‘Mediation for the Nation 3.0’ is a nationwide special mediation drive launched by the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee of the Supreme Court of India to settle pending cases through mediation.

At the inauguration, Justice Pugalendhi spoke about the importance of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and mediation. The judge distributed pamphlets to the public. Judges, advocates, court staff and others participated in the programme.
