Days after India pointed out  “anomalies” in a world map that was used during the passing of the  “Correct the Map” resolution at the United Nations General Assembly, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that the “UN has not published any map with borders”. In an exclusive interview with The Hindu, Mr. Guterres insisted that “it’s not for the UN to define” borders.

Earlier, The Hindu had reported that a map was published by the UN Geospatial and used during the consultation process for the ‘Correct the Map’ resolution, depicted Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin without the specified Indian and Chinese “claim lines” that previous UN maps had used.
