They may be small, and named small by the regulator, due to their category of licence, but Small Finance Banks are seen taking bold steps at the ongoing Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 in Mumbai in terms of technology adoption and innovations.
Towards digital progress, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited, through a tie up with Winjit Technologies, announced the introduction of modernised Retail Internet Banking and Mobile Banking platform at the GFF 2026. Utkarsh Small Finance Bank had partnered with Winjit last year to refresh its core digital experience.

Similarly, AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), India’s largest Small Finance Bank, which is on track to become a Universal Bank, has announced it’s entry into credit card segment by introducing CheQ AU Credit Card, India’s first LED-enabled credit card in association with Visa and CheQ, one of India’s leading credit-management platforms, at GFF.
Developed through the combined strengths of AU SFB, Visa and CheQ, the CheQ AU Credit Card brings together banking capabilities, global payments technology and deep consumer insights, the entities said.
The card features a first-of-its-kind LED activation that lights up during contactless transactions, transforming an everyday tap into a distinctive payment experience while encouraging wider adoption of tap-and-pay payments.
