Hyderabad’s real estate market continues to witness strong demand, with over 26,100 homes sold during the first half of 2026, according to CREDAI Hyderabad. The data was released at the inauguration of the three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The event, themed ‘Rate Aagadhu, Demand Thaggadhu’, will showcase more than 300 RERA-approved projects from over 60 developers until August 30.

CREDAI Hyderabad president-elect B. Jagannath Rao said the homes sold in the first half of the calendar year accounted for nearly 60 million square feet of super built-up area, making Hyderabad the leading Indian market in terms of residential area absorbed. The average home size stood at around 2,300 sq. ft., while the average ticket size rose 10% year-on-year to ₹2.03 crore.

Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, who inaugurated the property show, said real estate and property development were important components of the State’s economic growth. He said the government was committed to creating an environment that encouraged good, trustworthy and transparent development and expected the sector to continue contributing to investment and growth in Telangana.

CREDAI Hyderabad president N. Jaideep Reddy sought government intervention on pending issues concerning the 10% building permit mortgage and the NALA-linked component. He called for either removal of the mortgage in view of RERA or its reduction to 5%, saying this would release capital for developers. The association also sought greater clarity on enabling developers to pay NALA fees along with the building approval process.
