Dindigul MP R. Sachithanantham on Tuesday expressed happiness that the long-pending demand of the people of Dindigul for a passport office has been fulfilled.
Addressing journalists, Mr. Sachithanantham said the Passport Seva Kendra had been a long-pending demand of the people. The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) in Dindigul was relocated to Dindigul Head Post Office on August 10.
Postal Department provided a portion of its office premises for the Passport Seva Kendra. The office will operate five days a week. The officials said measures were in place to accept and process passport applications for 50 persons daily. They urged the public to make use of the facility.
