TVS SCS and Sankyu forge partnership for domestic and overseas expansion; Japanese firm to buy 0.5% stake

:

TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) Ltd and Japan-headquartered logistics and engineering company Sankyu Inc. have entered into a strategic partnership to jointly pursue opportunities in supply chain and engineering services, with an initial focus on India and plans to expand across overseas markets in Asia, Middle East and Africa.

The collaboration will initially target manufacturing and industrial establishments in India, where more than 1,400 Japanese companies operate across various verticals. The partnership aims to combine TVS SCS’s supply chain capabilities, market presence and customer relationships with Sankyu’s engineering expertise, logistics capabilities and strong links with the Japanese industrial ecosystem, a company statement said.

The companies expect the tie-up to help them develop integrated solutions for manufacturing and industrial customers and tap new business opportunities in India.

As part of the agreement, Sankyu intends to acquire a 0.5% equity stake in TVS Supply Chain Solutions, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

To oversee the partnership, the companies would establish a joint steering committee comprising representatives from both organisations to identify growth opportunities, drive strategic initiatives and facilitate the development of integrated supply chain and engineering solutions.

TVS SCS chairman R Dinesh said the partnership would enable the companies to offer comprehensive solutions to manufacturing and industrial customers, while unlocking new growth opportunities in India and other strategic global markets.
