Uptick in operating margins across transmission, smart metering and distribution businesses. helped Adani Energy Solutions’ (AESL) first quarter (Q1) net profit more than double year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,237 crore.
The Ahmedabad-headquartered company’s revenue surged 40% YoY to ₹9,852 crore in the June-end quarter.
It posted an all-time high earnings before interest, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) of ₹3,178 crore, 58% higher on a year-on-year basis., on “strong growth in the transmission, smart metering, a significant contribution from energy solutions platform segment and steady performance in the distribution business,” it said.
“AESL has delivered a robust start to FY27, driven by strong financial performance and continued operational excellence across our core businesses. During the quarter, we further strengthened our growth platform through the proposed acquisition of IntelliSmart, a strategic step towards building India’s leading smart metering platform,” said Kandarp Patel, CEO, Adani Energy Solutions.
Revenue from transmission business rose 52% YoY to Rs3,335.26 crore; distribution business by 5% to Rs3,520.43 crore, energy solutions platform by more than nine-fold to Rs1,906.83 crore and smart meter business by more than three-fold to Rs 346.99 crore in the review quarter.
