Thunderstorms were forecast in 12 Telangana districts for July 17, 2026

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm forecast for 12 Telangana districts for Friday (July 17, 2026)
According to IMDs latest bulletin, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.

Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a generally cloudy sky. “Light rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur in parts of the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 35℃ and 25℃ respectively,” as per the bulletin.
