Leaders of the NDA coalition government marked the Rendella Nammakam, Abhivruddhi, Sankshemam (Two years trust -development and welfare)” with a public meeting near Guntur on Thursday.
Speaking at the event said that the State had witnessed significant progress in governance, welfare and infrastructure development over the past two years, while accusing the previous YSRCP administration of leaving behind economic and administrative challenges.
Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar said the coalition government had restored transparency and accelerated development across sectors, ranging from Amaravati’s construction to welfare delivery and infrastructure expansion.
He claimed that the anti-narcotics measures, including drone surveillance and special enforcement teams, helped eliminate ganja cultivation, while reforms in excise policy and free sand supply had brought greater transparency and relief to the public. He also highlighted the progress in major irrigation projects, road development, WhatsApp-based governance services, and the revival of Centre-State schemes.
Dr. Pemmasani said the Centre had extended ₹15,000 crore assistance for Amaravati and approved ₹2,500 crore for the Common Central Secretariat.
District in-charge Minister Kandula Durgesh described the coalition government as a “double-engine administration” led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan in the State, and highlighted the welfare initiatives such as enhanced pensions, Deepam-2, Thalliki Vandanam and Annadata Sukhibhava.
Guntur West MLA Galla Madhavi said more than ₹500 crore worth development works have been executed in her constituency, including roads, drainage, drinking water and traffic management projects, while welfare schemes continued to benefit thousands of residents.
Prathipadu MLA B. Ramanjaneyulu, Guntur East MLA Md. Naseer, Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, Ponnur MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar and others participated in this public meeting.
