The Ramapuram police arrested a man for stealing an LPG cylinder kept outside a house in Ramapuram. The stolen cylinder was subsequently recovered by the police.

According to police, Chinnathurai, 61, of Valluvar Salai in Ramapuram, lodged a complaint with the Crime Wing of the Ramapuram police station. He said that on the afternoon of June 6, his wife, Subbammal, had left an LPG cylinder outside the house. When she returned a short while later, she found that the cylinder had been stolen by an unidentified person.

Following the investigation, the police arrested Manikandan, 30, of Shanmugam Nagar in Maduravoyal in connection with the theft. During questioning, police found that Manikandan was employed as a daily wage labourer.
