Artificial Intelligence (AI) is bringing a major transformation in healthcare and the Telangana government is committed to fostering AI, digital innovation and deep-tech ecosystems to position the State as a global innovation hub, Information Technology and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said on Saturday.
Speaking after inaugurating the two-day international conference titled ‘AI in Healthcare 2.0’, organised by Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad, the Minister said the rapid advances in AI were bringing about significant changes across industries worldwide, with healthcare undergoing a particularly profound evolution.
The two-day conference brought together more than 2,000 doctors, healthcare professionals, researchers, policy-makers and AI experts from across the world.
Managing Director of Yashoda Hospitals G.S. Rao said that the adoption of AI was significantly improving the quality, speed and accuracy of healthcare services. From early disease detection and clinical decision-making to personalised treatment approaches, AI was delivering remarkable outcomes, he said, adding that the conference had created opportunities for innovation, research and partnerships.
Clinical Director and Robotic Surgical Oncologist Chinnababu Sunkavalli said that Artificial Intelligence was emerging as a transformative force that was redefining healthcare through more accurate diagnoses, efficient clinical workflows and personalised treatment strategies.
