India captain Shubman Gill won the toss and elected to field against Afghanistan in their rain-truncated opening ODI of the three-match series Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh on Saturday (June 13, 2026).

The match was reduced to a 25-over-per-side affair after relentless rains delayed the start to the proceedings here at the HPCA Stadium.

Left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey and right-arm fast bowler Gurnoor Brar are making their ODI debuts for India.

Teams:

India: Shubman Gill (c), Rohit Sharma, K.L. Rahul, Shreyas Iyer (vc), Ishan Kishan (wk), Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harsh Dubey, Gurnoor Brar, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna.

Afghanistan: Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sediqullah Atal, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Azmatullah Omarzai, Ikram Alikhil (wk), Rashid Khan, Mohammad Saleem Safi, AM Ghazanfar, Zia Ur Rahman Sharifi.
