ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Schedule, groups and where to stream matches

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 promises to be an action-packed affair with India hoping to continue its winning streak from last year’s ODI World Cup.

The World Cup will be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5, 2026. A total of 12 teams will compete in 33 matches. 

The teams playing in the World Cup are: England (host), Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland. There will be two groups of 6 each. 

Women’s World Cup 2026: OTT streaming and broadcast 

Jio has the rights to stream the Women’s World Cup matches through its JioHotstar app and website. Star Sports network has the rights to broadcast the matches on television. One can also follow the coverage and live match updates by searching on browsers like Google. 

When is India playing? Schedule and timings

World Cup standings from 2024

New Zealand won their maiden title at the T20 World Cup held in October 2024 by defeating South Africa in the final.

In Group A, Australia dominated by winning all four of their matches to finish top with eight points. New Zealand secured the second semifinal spot with six points (three wins and one loss). India missed advancing to the semifinals after finishing third with four points (two wins and two losses). Pakistan finished fourth with two points from one win, and Sri Lanka ended at the bottom of the group with zero points after losing all four matches. 

Women’s T20 World Cup Countdown: Australia looks the strongest in Group A

In Group B, a three-way tie at six points (three wins and one loss) was settled by net run rate, allowing the West Indies to finish first and South Africa to finish second to qualify for the knockouts. England narrowly missed out on qualification to finish third. Bangladesh took fourth place with two points from one win, while Scotland finished last with zero points and four losses.
