The Crime Branch-CID of the Tamil Nadu police will investigate the recent theft of hard disks and other computer components from the headquarters of the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) in Chennai.

The theft case, initially handled by the Greater Chennai Police, was transferred to the CB-CID by Director General of Police and Head of Police Force (DGP/HoPF) Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal considering the sensitive nature of the case, police sources said on Monday (June 8, 206).

The police have, so far, arrested two persons in connection with the theft, including the service provider of Annual Maintenance Contract for the electronic components, the sources said.
